Hyun Jeong Bok has developed her reductive technique in woodblock prints. Rich and condensed material from accumulated layers of colors gives a unique nuance to her prints. Usually she builds more than 10 layers with oil colors, which give a vivid tone and extraordinary texture to her paintings. With a complicated process, it takes roughly 2 months to finish one of her creations. The various kinds of flowers in Nature are a major source of inspiration in her works. Such a theme is for conveying the beauty in Nature and also in humans. In harmony with the feeling of an artist's touch and the natural quality of wood plate she attracts the viewers into the untouched Nature.
